Irina Semykina participated in the Young Leaders Training and Research Program in Regional Cooperation and Development

During August 10-12, 2016 the 25th annual conference of the Northeast Asia Economic Forum took place at the city of Changchun (China).  This year the main directions of the conference work became the following ones: cooperation in the Northeast Asia (NEA) within the framework of “One Belt, One Road” initiative, development of trans-boundary infrastructure and special economic zones, financial cooperation between the countries of the region.

 

Within the Northeast Asia Economic Forum the Program of training and research for young leaders took place for the 11th time. This year 25 representatives from China, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Russia and the USA participated in the Program. Among the representatives of the Russian Federation there was also our colleague, research fellow of the Sector for Modeling the Territorial Systems (Department of the Territorial Systems) Irina Semykina, candidate of science in economics. The Program was held on the base of the Jilin University during July 31-August 14. It included the lectures of the professors from the leading universities and research centers of the NEA countries as well as sessions on various themes where young leaders have prepared individual and joint presentations on various aspects of cooperation in NEA.
