A business meeting with plenipotentiary representative of RF president in Siberian federal district

On 3 February 2020 representatives of research institutes participated in a business meeting with plenipotentiary representative of RF president in Siberian federal district Serguey Ivanovich Menyailo.

Among those present at the meeting were vice-president of RAS academician V.N. Parmon, chairman of executive committee of Interregional association of RF subjects“Siberian agreement” Gennadiy G. Guselnikov, deputy of plenipotentiary representative of RF president in Siberian federal district Vadim. M. Golovko and head of department of investment policy aqnd territorial development of plenipotentiary representative of RF president in Siberian federal district Ivan A. Goncharov.

The agenda included discussion of Siberia’s development through the ages and within the context of new challenges, questions of strategic planning of socio-economic development of Siberian territories, considering integration and complementarity of economic and scientific-technological space.

V.A. Kryukov delivered a report “Development of Siberia through the ages and within the context of new challenges”, V.V.Kuleshov delivered a fragment of report “Siberia: hindsight and outlook”, V.Ye. Seliverstov – “Siberia: who’s to blame, what to do, how to?”.

The general consensus of participants was the necessity to strengthen cross-regional cooperation and coordination of efforts directed at resolving problems in economy and social sphere of particular regions. It is worthwhile creating conditions for fulfilling scientific and educational potential of regions within the district, implementing scientific solutions into the real sector of economy, social sphere. It will allow effectively resolve tasks of territorial development and provide outlets for Siberia for new technological openings.
